The Seventh Annual Afghan Hound World Congress was held in Västeras, Sweden on July 7-8. 2008. All of us had a
wonderful time at the Congress and everyone involved worked very hard. Sweden is such a beautiful country and the hotel
venue was very nice. The Congress was well presented and I believe everyone enjoyed listening to the older, very
experienced breeders talk about the breed and discuss the problems and where the breed is heading.

After the Congress, we traveled by boat to an island for a Viking salmon dinner. It was a very nice trip to Sweden and
good to see old friends. It's been seven years since I have been to Sweden and it was good to return there.

The weekend before the Congress was the World Dog Show in Stockholm and the weekend after was the "Skokloster"
Dog Show in Lövudden.
